This was originally a Christmas present planned for my brother. But mr.pixie got to it first! This pattern is from Huan-Hau Chye called A Very Plain Hat. I loved how simplistic and fast this knit up. The first one I completed was out of Cascade Rustic, unfortunately, I can't recall what I used this time.

I also took the time out of my 'busy' life to do a good deed. A lady at my LYS came in telling us about how her neighbors soon was deployed last year. Before he left, she had made him a helmet liner to take with him. When he was on leave recently, he requested 12 more for his friends.
