Knitting is very conducive to thought. It is nice to knit a while, put down the needles, write a while, then take up the sock again.

Another hot day

The past few weeks have been filled with hot air and humidity. One would think that this hot spell has to end at some point. Sadly, it is only going to get worse before it gets better. At least it was very pleasant over the holiday weekend, and only reached the mid to high 80's - what perfect timing!

On the house hunting front, we had seen quite a few that caught our eye. We made our first offer on a home, that didn't pan out the way we thought it should, so now we our on round 2. We did get to learn the ropes of making an offer (ie: the untold VA funding fee; closing costs; home warranties; etc) and feel pretty confident about this round. We should hopefully hear back this evening.

On the knitting front, I have been working on The Traveling Woman Shawl still. I started this just before I left for Ohio and I am almost done with my 4th repeat of chart A, then I will only have to do chart B and bind off. I am actually excited about blocking this...yeah, you heard right, excited, go figure.
