We finally got moved into our new home over Labor Day weekend. I was sure to make the home as livable as possible in the first few days. That being said, the dining room has become the catch all of boxes and crap we haven't unpacked yet. Other than that, the rooms are nicely put together and even had some time to do a bit of decorating. The best feature so far is the landscaping and lighting. At night it is so peaceful sit outside on the swing and have a soft glow illuminate from the trees, just gorgeous!
Shortly after the move, J and I both got sinus infection and have been under the weather. Add to that, my brother got married on the 17th in Savannah. The wedding (and the bride) were beautiful. I am so happy for them and wish them many years of happiness. Speaking of Savannah, I just love the damn place. I need to find a way to move there ;) As doubtful as that may be... But J and I had a blast none the less and biked around all the squares and enjoyed the time we spent together.
Only being home for a few days, I am turning around and headed out again. Hell, I didn't even unpack my bags, what's the point? So until mid next week, I will find myself in Charleston for a business conference. Don't get me wrong, I almost love Charleston as much as Savannah. Sadly, we will be staying out by the airport with a jam packed schedule :( Hopefully mom and I can sneak away on Sunday for some sight seeing.
On the knitting front, I have found some time to dabble among a few projects, only completing Citron. Slowly the Traveling Woman is getting closer to being finished...maybe. And in between, I added Bella's mittens and the Hemlock Ring Blanket. Once life slows down for me to catch my breath, I will be posting pictures.
Do you crochet or just knit? I haven't knit anything in forever and am trying to learn crochet with a friend. Now, when going back trying to finish up a knit project I had started, I'm more confused than ever! I wish TWNY had knit help on nights other than Tues/Thurs since that is the two nights I have class late into the evening.
ReplyDeleteI only know how to knit at the moment. However, I really want to learn how to crochet as well. The nice thing about TWNY, is that you can go in any time and ask for help, as long as they are not too busy. I can't count the number of times I have gone in during the day or on weekends begging for help with a project! Also, youtube is your friend :D
ReplyDeletecongrats on the house!
